Ameliorative Corrosion Resistance and Microstructure Characterization of 2205 Duplex Stainless Steel by Regulating the Parameters of Pulsed Nd:YAG Laser Beam Welding

چکیده

Welding parameters can greatly affect the final product. In this study, there was a variation given on pulse energy, i.e., heat input parameters. The microstructure analyzed and presented in relation to efficiency of corrosion. microstructural study showed changes fusion zone (FZ) heat-affected (HAZ) with an increase energy. development prominent austenite process weld material had prolonged effect its corrosion resistance property. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) potentiodynamic measurements were used test electrochemical activity laser-weld 2205 duplex stainless steel aqueous 3.5% NaCl solution. Finally, findings EIS analysis supported by Raman spectroscopy. Based obtained results, (DSS) at higher energy than welded sample low confirmed smooth surface property presence oxide layer, finding also measurements.
